Appearance

On private, paid accounts (except for the Personal plan), you can customize the appearance of the top of your Dabble DB database. You can upload an image to use as a logo, and you can also change the colors of the header and top menu.

To change the appearance, go to Administration and click the Appearance tab. (The appearance of a Dabble DB Commons database can not be changed.)

You may upload an image file to be placed in the upper-left corner of the window. Click the Browse or Choose File button below Upload a new logo to open a dialog box. You may choose any image located on your computer to upload. Once you have selected an image, click Upload file to complete the transfer.

If you wish to use an image from another web site, download it to your computer first and then follow the above procedure.

Dabble DB supports logos in any of the following image formats: BMP, GIF, JPEG, PCX, PNG.

Color scheme

If you wish, you can change the color scheme of the header. There are 6 default color schemes to choose from and, if you upload a logo, Dabble will automatically create a color scheme to try and match your logo.

Click the radio button of the color scheme you wish to use. The header colors will change immediately to give you a preview. Click Save Appearance to save your choice.

Customize colors

You can also choose your own color scheme by clicking Customize colors. Three color pickers will appear for you to choose a background color for the headaer, the text color, and the color of the border.

To change the brightness and/or saturation of the color, use your mouse to drag the crosshairs around the color square. To change the hue, use your mouse to drag the black triangles up or down along the color strip.

As you drag, the header will preview your selection.

You may also type a color code directly into the box using standard HTML hexadecimal color codes. When you have typed or pasted a code, click Preview custom colors to update the preview.

If you wish to restore the original color selection, click Reset to original.

Click Save Appearance to save your custom colors.
