Email addresses are Field values that, when displayed in your application, allow people to easily create new email messages to a person. A set of email addresses can also be collected easily to copy and paste into another application.

You can specify a default email address for when new entries are created. This only applies to the future: existing entries will not have their values changed.
By default, the system shows email links as the address itself.
Alternatively, you can specify text to show instead of the address. Wherever an email address appears, the clickable text will be shown (e.g. “Send email”).
