You can use the Append formula to combine the text of two columns into one as well as to add constant text. Append takes the current column and adds the text you choose to the end of it, and puts the result in a new column. (Prepend adds the text you choose to the beginning instead.)

In your database, there is a First Name field and a Last Name field, but you want a Full Name field. You can use Append this way:

1. Add a space after the First Name. Click the First Name column, then Add Formula, then Append, then Constant, and type a space as the value in the pop-up. A new column appears.
2. Click the new column, and choose Add Formula, Append again, and now choose the Last Name column. A new column appears with the full name.
