In certain circumstances, clicking a link in Dabble DB leads you to a new view for a particular category. One example of this is when you click a summary cell in a Compact view: you will then see an expanded table view showing the details of all entries represented by the summary. Another example is clicking the name of a category from the entry editor.
Dabble DB will normally show you a “fresh” view, with no filters and only two columns (the name and summary). If you prefer, however, you can save a default view for a particular category to be used in these circumstances instead.
To designate a default, check the box beside Use as Default…View while saving a view. (If you have already saved the view you want to use, simply click the title again to open the save box, check the box and then click the Save button.)
Only one view can be the default for any one category. Selecting a view to be the default will override any previous selection for that category.
Note: the default view does not apply when you click New view from the category menu.
