Edit View - Pages
The Edit View tab lets you specify which view, if any, is on a specific Page. You can also specify how the data in the view may be searched.
Selecting a view
If your page does not already include a view, you can add one by clicking Select a view to display and allow editing entries. However, you can only add a view if there are saved views in the same category as the page. To change which view is on the page, click the Change link beside the view.
Number of entries visible
You can choose how may Entries should be visible at once: 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100. If there are more than this number, the system will divide the entries into batches and offer navigational links to allow one to view the next and previous batch. (This setting does not apply to non-tabular views such as the Calendar view or Map view.)
Search options
You can choose whether to allow users to search the entries in the view and, if so, whether to search by general keyword or by field filters.
Search by keyword
With this search mode enabled, a single search box will appear. Typing keywords into this box will narrow the list of entries shown by searching all of the text visible in the columns.
Search by field filters
With this search mode enabled, you can choose specific Fields for users to search. Each field that you check will appear as a search box. Field filters allow users to do more powerful searches, and use some of the special filter language that can be used elsewhere in the system.
Hide view contents until there is a search
With either search mode enabled, this option will cause the system to show entries only when there is an active search. The view will appear blank until a search occurs.
