If you want a print-out of the view, click the Print button located under the name of your view to generate an instant PDF file suitable for printing. The default print settings are for U.S. Letter (8.5″ × 11″) paper in portrait orientation.
You can customize the print settings or print individual entries.
Paper size
Choose a paper size (Letter, Legal, Tabloid, A4 or A3) to have Dabble optimize the dimensions of the PDF file to a particular paper size.
Orientation
- In portrait mode (the default), the document is printed vertically so that the page is taller than it is wide.
- In landscape mode, the document is printed horizontally (rotated ninety degrees) so that the page is wider than it is tall.
Page breaks
For the Table view and Compact view, you can customize how many entries are printed per page.
- The default option is to fill each page.
- If your view includes grouping, you can choose to create a new page after the end of each group. If the view includes multiple levels of grouping, you can choose which level to use for page breaks.
Calendars
For the Calendar view, you can choose how many pages to print. The default is simply the current page (the month, week or day you’re looking at), but you can choose to print a number of months, weeks or days into the future.
Bookmarkable (Saving your PDF settings)
You can bookmark a PDF with particular settings the same way as the export window. Check the box beside Bookmarkable. This is only available for saved views. The address (URL) of the PDF will include all of the custom settings you have chosen (if any). If you change the view or the data in the view, the PDF copy will always be up-to-date.
Printing an entry
While editing an entry, you can click the Print entry link to open a window with a printable record of the entry. The entry title is shown along with its categories and each field with field values printed in a similar matter to the entry editor itself.
The print page uses a special style sheet designed for printing.
If you want to print several entries at once, you can export a view and use the print options to create an Individual entries export.
